FARMER COMMITS SUICIDE;

A farmer committed suicide at Somwarpet taluk yesterday, unable to cope with the burden of debt.

Shabnthappa, 57, committed suicide at his house at Bettada Koppa village yesterday . His body was found hanging from the roof of a cow shed behind his house.

According to police, he was worried over a loan of rupees lakh and odd. He had incurred crop loss in ginger and other crops. His daughters wedding was due next month and he was worrying over the finance, police and family sources said.

A case was registered. He leaves wife, two daughters and a son.
