MAHINDRA GREAT ESCAPE KICK STARTS;

Madikeri October 14, 2006

Silent valleys and rough terrains of Kodagu today echoed the sounds of roaring engines, screeching wheels and speeding vehicles. There was thrill and excitement as around forty colourful, heavily altered vehicles zoomed past the onlookers at Gaalibeedu, where the Rally was flagged off. The green rich terrains today were powdered by dust rose from the bumping wheels.

General (Retd) B.C.Nanda flagged off the vehicle in the presence of Mahindra club resort manger Vijaya Mohan and others.

The mahindra organized this ‘Mahindra great Escape” in association with JK tyres, MICO Bosch and Bharat Shell to test the undulating terrains to impress their customers in South India.

The 45 kilometer route is designed by five time national rally champion Hari Singh and for the first time the Global Position System is being used in the rally.

It is an off beat drive on the lines of Jamborees or great out doors excursions held in United States, Australia, Canada and England.

Over forty four wheel Mahindra teams began their day on wheels.
