CNC FIGHT FOR THE KODAVA INTEREST ONLY-NACHAPPA

Madikeri Nov. 22 The Codava National Council is fighting for the Kodava Community development. CNC claim the rights under constitution to the ethnic minority in the district. The organization has no interest in claiming separate statehood for kodagu. Some politicians are misleading the Govt and the public- analyzed Mr. N.U.Nachappa, the CNC organization General secretary here.

He was addressing the gathering during the Kodava National day. During the late Chief Minister Mr. Gundu Rao’s regime he was interested to hear the grievances of kadavas. He showed his interest in providing the special provisions mentioned in the constitution. He tried to recommend declaring the provisions while contacting the then prime minister Smt. Indira Gandhi. However, the so called Kodava posed political leaders existed then in the district blocked the attempt by Gundu Rao. They have no interest in protecting their motherland alleged Mr. Nachappa.

Many Kodava leaders have misused the community for their individual political gains and have succeeded in curbing the agitation attitude of the community people. Although the organization fought for the separate statehood movement for 9 years, the political leaders deviated their aim and unnecessary have created chaos .So he choosed the way to fight for the Kodava cause instead of separate statehood-Nachappa clarified. If the Govts. Did not turn up for the demands he is ready to move the matter to the UNO-Nachappa said. He called the people to wake up and fight to claim the rights provided under constitution.

MURDERED WIFE BURIED AND REVEALED AFTER A WEEK

Madikeri Nov. 22 Vasu, a tractor driver at Harangi Road kushalnagar had murdered his wife Prema (28)and buried the dead body beneath a trust building near his house.

This was revealed after a week’s time and the corpse was exhumed and post mortem was conducted. Vasu is living in a rented house. The couple always quarrels inside the house. On the 14th also both were quarreling which was observed by the house owner Jayamma. Next day wife Prema was not found in the house. The house owner Jayamma tried to get the truth from husband vasu. He was avoiding and convinced saying that his wife has fled away with some body. But with his 12 year old daughter Vinutha and Vidya he convinced that their mother went to native place.

The house owner Jayamma waited for days and she doubted about the husband’s statement. She contacted Prema’s parents at Chintiganole village Nagamangala Thaluk.. Surprisingly it was confirmed that Prema did not gone their. Immediately with the help of local leaders at kushalnagar, a complaint was lodged and when police arrested the accused vasu the truth was revealed. Fate of two children is left to the Nature.
