SNAKE BITES DOCTOR TO DEATH;

An Ayurvedic doctor at Kushalnagar yesterday died of snake bite.

It was reported that Dr.Chandrashekar, 63 of Nagarjuna Ayurvedic hospital was bitten by a snake at his house. The victim forced his hands to catch a mouse from a hole in the wall. But a snake was hiding inside and bit him.

He was immediately shifted to the government hospital and given first aid. But he breathed his last. He was running the hospital since three years.

Deceased is a native of kerala.

MEGA EYE CAMP KICK STARTS;

A mega eye camp sponsored by different organizations began at Ashwini hospital yesterday. Around 50 operations were carried out and 236 patients were admitted.

Aswini hospital, rotary Misty Hills, Lions and other organizations are jointly conducting the three day eye camp.

Expert doctors from outside the district are also taking part in the free camp. The patients and their attendants are provided free stay and food.Dr.Shiva Prasad from Hassan, Doctor Chandra Shekar, Sridhar and Parvathy from Bangalore, Dr.Appu Rao Pai and Sudhakar team are attending to patients
