GIRL DIES ATTACKED BY WILD BEES;

In a bizarre incident, a girl attacked by wild bees in an estate died jumping into a well. The incident was reported from Chelavara Tatticheri estate near Napoklu, yesterday.

According to police, a labourer Pongudi, 20 was picking firewood inside the estate and wild bees swarmed her. Running in frenzy, she jumped into a twenty feet well.

She died inside.

Napoklu police have registered a case. Body was removed from the well and cremated.

After Kodava , Gowda and Muslim sports events are over, now it is Heggade Samaj sports events being played at Virajpet.

Heggade Samaj president P.G.Aiyappa inaugurated the two day sports at Virajpet yesterday. Addressing the gathering, he said that the development of a community indirectly improves the standard of the society. Chief guest B.Bopaiah assured to donate rupees ten thousand to the community hall planned by the Heggade samaj.

Bopaiah and Aiyappa inaugurated the cricket. Convenor S.R.Chengappa welcomed the gathering. Biddappa proposed vote of thanks.

PANATTALE FOOTBALL;

Gowda community has for the first time organized family football at Madikeri.

Pattedar Panattale Annaiah inaugurated the ten day football at Mann’s compound yesterday.

MLA K.G.Bopaiah lit the lamp and said that sports events in Kodagu are uniting people.

President of Panattale Aiyappa Sanga, Thammaiah presided over the function. Tumtaje ganesh, talur kishore Kumar, Kodi Chandra Shekar, Biddappa, Uttaiah, Youth service officer Biddappa were the chief guests.

Panattale and Kattemadu teams played the exhibition match.
