INDIA A MODEL FOR THE WORLD;Madikeri June 26, 2006 Senior Pracharak of Rastriya Swayam Sevaka Sanga, Su.Ramanna explained that India has taken birth to establish peace in the world. Addressing the gathering at the Janmashatabdi function of Sree Guruji here yesterday, he stated that the ancient sages had the knowledge of this World and its civilization even during the times of Vedas. He regretted that those who do not have the knowledge of India’s rich heritage and Spiritual values are ruling the country today. He recalled that the Moguls destroyed physical structures of the country and the British the cultural values. The so-called intelligentsia in the country is unfortunately continuing the same culture, he regretted. He called upon the fellow citizens to rise to the occasion with self-confidence, commitment to nation and commitment to religion. The concept of Vasudeivakutumbakam, the whole world as one family as preached by Hindus should be brought to practice, he opined. He urged that the patriotism hidden within everyone should come to light for the nation to thrive. Journalist K.B.ganapathy spoke on the occasion and trgretted that the unity and integrity in the country are remaining only on lips and not in practice. Advocate K.P.balasubrahmanya opined that a sage like Agastya should take birth in this land again to estatblish the lost values of India. Since people cannot control the politicians who are ruining the country, a sage like Agastya who can curse politicians should take re birth, he said. PHARMACIST COMMITTS SUICIDE;A married pharmacist committed suicide by hanging at Napoklu yesterday. According to police Hariprasad,45, son of Dr.Keshava Rao hung from his house ceiling and committed suicide at the wee hours. He leaves wife and a two-year-old baby. Disgust with life is said to be the reason. STOLEN QUALIS TRACED;A Qualis vehicle stolen by unknown passengers recently was traced at Hunsur yesterday. According to police, an abandoned Qualis vehicle was found near a petrol bunk at Hunsur. On verification, it turned out to be the stolen vehicle from Kushalnagar. The circle inspector Sundar raj at Hunsur told that a group of few people from Kushalnagar hired the vehicle last week. According to the car driver, the passengers outsmarted him and fled with the vehicle. Police now suspect the hand of an inter state racket in the stealing. They also suspect the involvement of car driver Annaiah. Investigation is on. |
