DRUNKEN BRAWL ENDS IN MURDER;

A fight which broke between yhree persons under the influence of alchohal ended in the death of one.

Motilal alias Ramesh, 40 died yesterday morning after he was attacked by two others the previous night.

According to police, Motilal was attacked buy a duo Jagadish and Mustaffa at Aiyyengeri near Bhagamandala on the night of Saturday during a drunken brawl.

Injured by the attack, Motilal ran away to a relative’s house for hiding. By Sunday morning, Motilal was dead.

Bhagamandala police have registered a case. The accused are said to be absconding.

LOKAYUKTA ISSUES NOTICE;

Around 14 members including two former presidents of Virajpet Town Panchayath are issued with notices by Lokayukta.

President of the TP, Farook Rahim has said that the notices are issued questioning the misappropriation of fund to the tune of rupees 1.10 crores in constructing a shopping complex at Virajpet during 1997. Lokayuktas action comes after the committees appealed for investigation after 2001.
