NESTLE HOCKEY CUP KICK STARTS;

Nestle and Skanda coffee sponsored hockey cup kick started at Murnad yesterday.

Marketing manager of Nestle Jagadish Chandra inaugurated the match.

The inaugural match was played between Murnad sports team and Blue star team from Somwarpet. Murnad team on against Blue star by one goal to zero.

BBC team defeated Forest team by 2 – 1 in the second match.

Semi finals will be played today.

District hockey association president Nellamakkada Mohan, vice president B.S.Thammaiah, Gram Panchayath president Palanganda Appanna and others were present.

ITI STUDENTS GO ON STRIKE;

The students of ITI here went on a lightning strike and boycotted classes yesterday.

The students alleged that the ITI has only 9 lecturers in the place of 22 and classes are not being conducted to many subjects since four months.

They also complained that the Principal is also erratic and irregular and is not listening to the grievances of the students. They also regretted that the institution also has shortage of instruments.
