To hear the grievances of the tribes and to solve their major problems the members have decided to call a special meeting before 29th in the presence of the M.L.A.The meeting condoled the death of a tribal youth who recently died due to tiger attack.

The land army has taken up the sports hostel construction at Ponnapmet. Already Rs. 6 lakhs sanctioned. But, the progress is not satisfactory. It seems the Rs. one lakh worth work has been completed and where the other money gone questioned the member Addanda Cariappa. He urged to stop giving further works to land army. He raised the issue of encroachment cases by influential persons who have taken away the land belong to tribes and also encroached the Govt. Lands. The Thaluk Panchayath should legally move against such encroachments-Cariappa urged.

Members raised their voice against the lethargic attitude of Social welfare, Health department and the education department in Virajpet thaluk.
