SHANKAR MURTHY RELEASES BOOK ON M.C.NANAIAH;Opposition leader Mr.Shankar Murthy today inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp to mark the release of book on former minister Mr.M.C.Nanaiah in a colourful function. Addressing the gathering he defined Nanaiah as a multifaceted politician and recalled the many occasions in which Mr.Nanaiah supported his government through his vocabulary and diplomacy. Regretting that the politicians do not enjoy respect in the society, he said that Nanaiah is an exception. Later, addressing a press conference Mr.Shankar Murthy demanded the government to release special package to Kodagu for development. Recalling that the Krishna government had sanctioned rupees 107 crores for the development, Mr.Shankarmurthy urged immediate sanction as the roads in Kodagu are in a dilapidated condition. Incidentally Mr.Shankar Murthy arrived late to the function and said that he was delayed due to bad road condition. He attacked the state government and said that it is a curse for the people. He also commented that Mr.Devegowda and Mr.Siddaramaiah are reserving their political mileage for rallies and personal attacks. NANAIAH DEMANDS DEVELOPMENT;Addressing the gathering in the function Mr.M.C.Nanaiah urged the governments which rule Karnataka never to ignore the development of Kodagu as River cauvery is bringing it revenue and fame. He said that whole Bangalore population today depends on Cauvery for drinking water and pay nearly rupees ten crore as tax. Whereas roads and infrastructures in Kodagu suffer due to lack of fund, he regretted. Stating that he sees no way to proceed in politics, he defined even the state government doesn’t know where it is heading. Speaking on the occasion, poet Dr.Siddalingaiah said that state needs politicians like Mr.M.C.nanaiah. Presiding over the function president of the Press Academy, Mr.V.N.Subba Rao told that Karnataka has never seen political instability as it is seen now. Releasing the book “Nenapugalu masuva Munna” wriiten by Mr.Bharadwaj on the life of Mr.M.C.Nanaiah, he regretted that the deteriorating political situations in the state has no place for able and knowledgeable politicians like Mr.M.C.nanaiah. He said that it is paining to note that Mr.Devegowda and Mr.Siddaramaiah are wasting their energy on organizing rallies to strengthen their images instead of the state. Mr.Subba Rao said that books on the life of all the former chief ministers should be brought out as people of Karnataka will know the political background of the state. President of the welcome committee Mr.Shanthu appaiah, president of the Prgathi Prakashana Trust, Mr.T.C.Thammaiah was on the dais. Mr.T.P.ramesh, Merchants bank president, compeered and DCC Bank president Mr.Matanda Ramesh proposed vote of thanks. |
