CHILD DIES AFTER TAKING FOOD;

A small child died after consuming food and few others fell sick at Madikeri.

The report coming to light after two days said that all the members of a family fell ill after having dinner on Friday night. A child among them died. The house wife Mrs.Anifa and two other children are now hospitalized.

Doctors suspect that the food was poisoned.

TV ADDICT BOY JUMPS INTO WELL;

A twelve year old boy jumped into a well as he was stopped from watching a movie.

A seventh standard student Appaiah is said to be the victim.

According to Ponnampet police, Appaiah, son of P.Jaya was watching TV on the night of Saturday. Parents objected to this and advised him to read.

They were shocked to find the boy missing and found his dead body floating in the well at the back of their house.

Police registered a case. Cremation was conducted at the parent’s house at Bekkesodlur.

SAMAJ CELEBRATES KAILPOLDH;

The Kodava Samaj here celebrated Kailpoldh festival at Kodava Samj building, yesterday.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest and vice president of Coorg institute of Engineering, Mr.Belliappa said that Kodava race is proud that cent percent of its population is educated. Not all the races in the world enjoy this credit, he said.
