D-LIMITATON TO BE RECONSIDERED

“D”- limitation process is under progress by the committee. Kodagu district may loose one assembly seat on the basis of population if the committee recommendations came true. At present Kodagu has only three assembly segments. If it looses one again the district will become politically weakened. To avoid such decisions a committee has been formed under the leadership of M.C.Nanaiah, the ex. Minister and K.G.Bopaoiah, the present Madikeri M.L.A.. Other members chosen are Somwarpet M.L.A B.A.Jeevijaya, the Virajpet M.L.A H.D.Basavaraju, the legislative Council member Arun Machaiah, the ex. Ministers Suma vasanth, M.M.Nanaiah, T.John and the Kodagu Mangalore constituency Parliament member D.V.Sadananda Gowda, Ex. Members Dhanajayakuamar and Janardhana Poojari .This committee will contact the D Limitation advisory members and the commission to present the memorandum. The administrative ground provides legal opportunity to continue the already existed three assembly segments in Kodagu irrespective of the population count.

B.T. Pradeep , the Kodagu development Committee chairman had called a meeting of all elected representatives, political party heads and orgaonisation heads in the district to discuss about the issue. The meeting resolved to contact and fight for justice with consensus.
