POACHER HELD;

Forest sleuths at Somwarpet held a poacher and seized deer meat from his house yesterday.

According to complaint One Erappa had shot dead a Deer in the forest. The forest team seized the deer dish being prepared by the accused at his house. The carcass of the deer, a gun and ten kilo sandal wood was also seized.

The deer was killed inside the Yedavanadu reserve forest.
