THALACUAVERY WECOMES PILIGRIMS FRO FESTIVALMadikeri Oct. 16 Thalacuaery, the birth place of river Cauvery is all set for the ‘thirthodbhava” festival on the 17th. The emerging of water at holy pond exactly occurs at 8.35 p.m.on that day.The temporary roofing is arranged at the premises of the pond and the Agastheyeshwara and Ganapathi temples. The special streetlights are installed from “U” point curve to Thalacauvery temple upto 3.5. K.M. with 12 Generator facilities. More than 2 lakh devotes are expected from various places including Tamilnadu, Kerala and other places. Even, the more beneficiaries of Cauvery, the Mandya people also expected to arrive in large number. Even, the Mandya devotees will do the supply of food with spot preperations to the devotees during the festival. The Kodagu Ekikarana Ranga, Virajpet Kodava Samaj and Kodagu Hindu Jagarana vedike and the Alagappan Chettiyar’s trust also supply food to the pilgrims during the festival. The first aid facility, the temporary toilets and the hair cutting facilities are arranged at theBhagamandala Sangama center.Althoughth PWD is trying to close the pot holes on the way to Thalacauvery from Madikeri which all become worst due to the last heavy rainfall, the repair works may not be completed before the festival. Three DYSP”s 9 Circle Inspectors, 25 S.Is, 36 A.S.is, 114 Head Constables, 215 constables, 20 women constables, 150 home guards ,2 KSRP batallion,4 wireless troupe, Forest Cell, Fire Brigade will be alerted. Parking is restricted in the marked places. Only, prefixed buses will ply from Bhagamandala to Thalacauve, Private buses will be allowed upto certain extent near Thalacauvery. The range forest officer AT Poovaiah and staff have also seized the Jeep No.KA 12 M 6097 belong to the accused. |
