CLEFT LIP IS NOT A CURSE;Dr.dinesh Kadam from Mangalore told here yesterday that the cleft lip is not a curse. It can be cured, he assured. He was addressing the gathering at Rotary hall here after conducting a camp on cleft lip. Rotary Madikeri and AJ hospital Mangalore conducted the Cleft lip camp. Around 23 beneficiaries were examined and promised surgery in the camp. M.C.NANAIAH MAY JOIN CONGRESS;Former minister Mr.M.C.Nanaiah might join congress along with Mr.S.G.Siddaramaiah, according to reliable sources. It is reported that Mr.M.C.Nanaiah took active part in the recently held secret meeting with Mr.Siidaramaiah along with Mr.Rameshkumar, Mr.B.a.Moideen and others. Contacted here at his residence, mr.M.C.Nanaiah confirmed that he met the leaders and did not rule out the possibility of joining congress. SIX FROM KODAGU TO KPCC;Reliable sources here said that five members from Kodagu are named as the members of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. The members are Mr.Mittu Chengappa, Mr.T.P.Ramesh, Mrs.K.P.Chandrakala,Mr.T.John, Mr.M.M.Nanaiah and Mrs.Suma Vasanth. Few senior members are displeased with the appointment of the newcomer Mr.T.P.Ramesh. They resented that the party ignores their services. 10% HIKE IN BUS FARE;The private bus owners have decided to hike fare by ten percent. Recent hike in the diesel rate and spare parts forced them to hike the fare from seven to ten percent, the bus owners said in a communiqué. |
