FOREST DEPARTMENT REMOVES ILLEGAL DWELLINGS;Forest officials here removed illegal , make shift houses built by people on top of Nishane hill. The houses were removed by the forest officials lead by RFO Chinnappa, DFO Lakshman and staff. People have been trying to encroach forest lands in Madikeri with due support from political parties woeing the voters. Former minister Mr.M.C.Nanaiah has lambasted the depoartments and politicians allowing illegal constructions causing ecological imbalance. It is also reported that BJP MLA Mr.K.G.Bopaiah has recommended not to take up Navagrama project to build houses on top of the same hill. Former ministers of Kodagu have thoughtlessly approved the plan to please the voters and already built around ten houses. MURDER ACCUSED GET BAIL;The Sessions court gives five persons accused in the murder case of a rowdy sheeter Bopanna conditional bail. Bopanna was killed with gunshots and attack on the night of January 10 at Madikeri. Bail plea by the other four main accused persons were however rejected. Dwhile Dinesh, Muthanna, Devaiah, Anni and Harish are released on bail, T.Mahesh, Arun, P.Mahesh and Dinesh will face charges from inside the prison. VALUES OF LIFE VANISHING;The commercial Tax officer Mr.Bane Gowda expressed that society is moving towards a dangerous phase and values of life are diminishing. Addressing the meeting of Rotary Misty Hills, Madikeri he quipped that human beings who wish to invent Moon and Venus doesn’t wish to know who lives next door!
