NEW DC TAKES CHARGE;

Mr.Subodh Yadav took charge of the Deputy Commissioners post here yesterday from acting DC Mr.Subramanyam.

Mr.Subodh Yadav was earlier serving at Gulbarga as a Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayath.

Addressing scribes after taking charge, Mr.Yadav said that he would deliver clean and efficient service.

Later Mr.Yadav held meeting with officials.

MYSORE – KUSHALNAGAR ROAD TO BE WIDENED

Public works minister Mr.H.D.Revanna has said that widening of Mysore Kushalnagar road would be taken up soon.

Addressing scribes at Mysore he said that the project to widen state highway upto Buntwal is through. However, the work will be taken upto Kushalnagar at present in the first phase. The government has approved the rupees 103 crore project, he revealed. The survey work is over from Mysore to Kushalnagar. Road widening work will be over in a year’s time, after the work begins, he said.

SOLDIERS BODY LAID TO REST;

A soldier who died in an accidental gun shot at Tarapur was cremated with government honour at his native yesterday.

K.U.Dinesh, serving at CISF, Tarapur near Mumbai died of accidental gunshot, two days ago. Dinesh hailed from Nanjarayapatna from Kodagu.

Tahasildar Anil Vas, police officials and others paid their last respects. Body was laid to rest after the police honour through gunshots in the air.
