CAUSE IS STILL UNDER STUDY

Madikeri July 31, The research experts who visited the affected place at Biligeri, Somwarpet thaluk, Kodagu disclosed the cause of occurrence of crack in the houses and the roadS could be found out only after thorough lab tests and technical findings in the concerned research stations. The team of experts from the Baba atomic research station, Mysore division and the Natue disastrous monitoring , Bangalore have visited the recently crack affected place at Biligeri

The scientists Dr. Chandrashekhar, Smrithi, Dr. V.S.Prakash, Prabhulingappa and others conducted detail study there after using the maps, Red am Monitoring instruments to find out the cause of the landslide in the area.

When the local people and the press enquired about the authenticity of the tremor or earthquake they clarified saying they could not answer immediately and clarified the matter will be further studied in the centres and the exact report wii be furnished afterwards.

The local affected people who expected the spot report are further frightened by the silence of the scientist who have only assured to furnish the report afterwards and when asked they even have not denied the cause is due to earthquake or tremor.

When the Deputy Commissioner Subodh yadav visted the spot the affected people were anguish to demand for the relief from the Govt. They complained the theft of their belongings after they have been shifted from their residential places .Yadav has assured them, the salvation to their present rehabilitation problems, which will be attended on priority basis.

In the meanwhile the Somwarpet M.L.A has also visted the place and assuresd the people of getting immediate relief from the Govt.

The rainfall in the district continues. But the situating is not so bad compared to few days back. Considering the normalcy, the Deputy Commissioner ordered to reopen the schools from Monday.

The highest rainfall of 10 inches yesterday in a day’s time has been recorded in Thalacauvery, the birth place of River Cauvery. Last year till the day, the record showed 141 inches at Thalacauvery, but this year it has crossed 180 inches having 39 inches more than the last year’s figure. In Madikeri town yesterday, the rainfall record showed 4 inches in a day’s time.
