VINIVINK CHEATS 38 LAKHS IN KODAGU;The VINI VINC finance group has cheated the depositors at Kodagu to the tune of rupees 38 lakhs, according to advocate Mr.B.B.Ananda and others. Addressing a press conference here, Mr.B.B.Ananda and others alleged that a local agent Mr.B.S.Ganapathy was responsible for the deposits collected here and a case would be registered against him. The depositors alleged that they were promised rupees 96 thousand as interest per year against a deposit of rupees one lakh. They have also stated that the case would be taken to Consumers Redressal forum. RUPEES ONE CRORE FOR RAIN DAMAGE;The Somwarpet MLA Mr.B.A.Jeevijaya told that the government has released rupees one crore for rain damage to Kodagu. He stated that the revenue minister Mr.Prakash has confirmed the sanction. Meanwhile he said that a high level meeting in the district would be held to discuss about the total loss the district has incurred due to incessant rains on first of August. Mr.Jeevijaya also said that expert teams would be sent to Biligeri in Somwarpet taluk where huge cracks have appeared on earth which has damaged houses and property. Besides, the Deputy Commissioner mr.Subodh Yadav today visited the Biligeri area and inspected the damage. He promised the villagers about action to investigate the cause for the crack. He has also visited other areas in the district damaged by the rainfall . |
