‘NAATI VOTA” ON AUGUST 13TH;

The state level “ Naati Vota” festival would be organized in Kodagu on August 13th.

President of the Jilla Yuva Okkuta, Mr.Girish Thalatmane disclosed in a press conference that the yearly event Naati vota would be held at the paddy fields of Kodanda Devaiah on this August 13th.

The event is being sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra and youth organizations.

Mr. Girish said that participants from Mangalore, Puttur, Mysore, Shimoga and other districts would take part in the thrilling events of Slush sports.

Tug of war, volleyball, running race and other events for men, women and children will attract onlookers.

He also stated that Naati Vota would be conducted in Cherambane and Valnur villages before the big event for a preliminary practice.

BANGARAPPA PREDICTS FALL OF GOVERNMENTS;

MP, Former Chief minister and president of the State Samajwadi party Mr.S.Bangarappa today predicted the fall of state and central governments in a near future.

Addressing the party workers here today, Mr.bangarappa alleged that the state and central governments with congress I in the lead has no ethics and is continuing under great threats of division, confusion and indecision. Quipping that Sonia Gandhi will be a great failure, he said that she cannot match even leaders like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

“While congress is going to fall due its unsustainable and unholy partnership with left parties, BJP is a communal party, and only Samajwadi Party can provide better administration” Bangarappa declared.

Asserting that he is not crossing floors, Mr.Bangarappa supported his stand of changing parties due to inevitable political situations, which demand right decision.

Giving reason about his quitting BJP, Mr.Bangarappa stated that he had requested Mr.A.B.Vajapayee to seek apology due to Babri Masjidh demolition and BJP never did so. Since the leaders failed to fulfill his demand, he had to resign, Mr.Bangarappa said.

State general secretary Mr.Govindaraju and District president Mr.Ben Ganapathy spoke on the occasion. District secretary Mr. Kumar compeered the programme. State office bearers of the SP, Mr.Shariyath Khan, Mrs.Mani Nanjappa, Mr. Parameshwarappa and others were present.

RAGHU TO PRODUCE “ TAA MANE”:

Film actor and producer Mr.A.T.Raghu will produce a Kodava serial “ Taa Mane”, meaning ‘mothers house” in kannada.

Addressing scribes here, mr.raghu told that the serial will appear in Chandana channel and would be shot in the month of August.

He said that Swetha Chengappa of Kaadambari fame would play the role of heroin, while Neravanda Umesh, Sumathi and other artists will figure in the serial.

The serial has 50 episodes and will appear on every Sunday, he said. Its being produced at a cost of rupees fifty lakhs, according to him.
