GERMAN COMMITS SUICIDEMadikeri December 26 Pasher Meicheal paul, 42, a Geman tourist has reportedly committed suicide inside a lodge at Kushalnagar yesterday. Paul who arrived from Mangalore rented a room in a lodge on Saturday night. According to police he was called to police station as he misbehaved with the other inmates of the lodge and sent back with a warning. However, a restless Paul allegedly beat the lodge owner yesterday morning. Surprisingly his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan around ten in the morning. The residents of Kushalnagar complain that many foreigners arrive at Kushalnagar to visit Bylakuppe without informing the authorities. The rule is that they have to register at Bylakuppe police station, before paying a visit to the Tibetan Rehabilitation center. To avoid registration, the foreigners stay at Kushalnagar being the nearest town to Bylakuppe. Police officials visited the spot and shifted the body to the government hospital. Body was kept in the mortuary after autopsy. ONE DIES, 9 HURT IN JEEP ACCIDENT;One person died and nine others injured seriously as a jeep they were traveling turtles at Kottur near here. Driver Abdul Khader died on the spot as nine others were shifted to government hospital at Madikeri. One among the injured is fighting between life and death. Ten friends had come to Kodagu from Kasargod for sight seeing. Bhagamandala police have registered a case. MURDER ACCUSED ARRESTED;Madapur police yesterday arrested a murder accused absconding since a year after killing his wife. According to police Pattu Erappa was going in a bike with a friend near Shirangalli near madapur at night. Police who went out on rounds to find a smugglers group met the accused and arrested him. Pattu Erappa had allegedly shot his wife Kanthi, 25, at Kadnur village in the month of April last. She was shot from the window at night as she was watching TV in her parents’ house. Erappa faces two more attempt to murder cases, assault and others. |
