SHANTHALLI TENSE;

Shanthalli village near Somwarpet turned tense since yesterday night due to poll related vilence.

According to police, a BJP group at Shanthalli – kinnalli after the polls, beat two brothers Vinay and Jagga from Congress. The injured were earlier members of the BJP and changede floor during the election. In a complaint lodged to police, the duo alleged that the BJP workers including a Gram Panchayath president attacked them brutally. GP president Shivanna had come with a gun, they have said.

Meanwhile, Shivanna and others have also lodged a counter complaint.

In another incident one Lokesh was attacked by K.B.Ranganath at keragana halli near Shanivarsanthe.

Police said that Lokesh was deeply wounded with a billhook on the face and an ear is damaged. However, Lokesh and his friend Navin reportedly counter attacked Ranganath.

Ranganath and Navin are arrested by police.



DRIVER CONVICTED;

The Chief Judicial magistrates Court here has ordered an auto driver to undergo imprisonment for four months and pay a fine of rupees 500.

The driver Shafi allegedly dashed against one Venktesh and caused his death on January 10th, this year.

PAINTING EXHIBITION BY BVB;

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here has organized painting exhibition “Nakshatra mandala” from this 22nd..

Nakshatra mandala is a unique collection of paintings done by H.N.Suresh of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The collection has won adulation in England, US and in India.
