NO CONFIDENCE MOTION FAILS;

No confidence motion moved by the opposition party BJP against their own member and vice president at Town Panchayth Somwarpet failed yesterday.

BJP moved no confidence against the VP, Vijaya Lakshmi as she had retorted stating that the BJP is trying to obstruct her and people have to pay graft to get their works done at the TP.

The no confidence fell as congress had passed Whip to its members not to support the motion.

A triumphant Vijayalakshmi told after the victory that she would continue her fight against corruption.

ONE MORE ARREST IN MURDER CASE;

One more person was arrested in connection with the murder case of Kunjanda Ravi.

According to police, Kantakumar, a resident of Perumbadi near Virajpet assisted the main accused in the murder case.

With the arrest of Kantha Kumar, total number of arrests rose to four. Girish, Pawan and Ganesh were arrested earlier in this connection.

Kunjanda Ravi, facing many criminal cases was allegedly shot dead at Virajpet on 21st last. Police said that Pawan opened fire at Ravi as Girish drove the Maruthi van, Girish,s brother Ganesh is said to be the master mind behind the murder.

GOWDA LAMBASTS BJP, CONGRESS;

Former Prime Minister H.D.Devegowda yesterday lambasted BJP and Congress and said that they are shedding crocodile tear to eyewash poor.

Addressing a gathering at Somwarpet yesterday, he said that adjustment with the congress was only to oppose BJP in the state and these elections would be fought independently. He stated that the farmers by voting JDs in the state showed to his opponents that Gowda still exists as power.

Rajesh Gundu rao and others were present in the election campaigning. Devegowda visited couple of towns in north Kodagu.
