Picture: Blueprint RULES ARE MORE STRINGENT AGAINST CANDIDATES;The election rules against the candidates seems to be more stringent this time. The accounts observer to Somwarpet taluk from the election commission, Shankar Raj told in a candidates meeting that the y are obligated to submit written statement of accounts within a month. In case of the failure, the candidates would be disqualified, he said. This rule is applicable to all the candidates contesting either from party or as independents. The most disappointing point in the rule now is that if a candidate loses in the election he cannot contest in any elections for the next six years. Taluk election officer and tahasildar Anilvas Manuel and others were present in the meeting. |
