DON’T ATTACK: BE POLITE

Don’t be aggressive, Be polite in asking the sanctions- suggested M.M.Nanaiah, the ex. Minister and the congress leader here. He was reacting to the statement by the Madikeri M.L.A K.G.Bopaiah and the district B.J.P leaders. Warning the protest in front of the Chief Minister’s rsidence on Sept. 12th. The B.J.P had announced this to demand the sanction of full rain damage relief fund to Kodagu immediately. The Govt. will release the amount stage by stage –Nananaiah hoped.. We should present the problems in proper way instead of straight away opting the aggressive measures. He criticized the negligence attitude of the Parliament member Sadananda Gowda who even does not have the courtesy to visit the rain affected areas in kodagu District. Even, the district incharge minister Alangur Shrinivas had also visited only once – he added. The notified Hydel electric projects in the district should be launched except Barapole scheme in South Kodagu-Nananaih told. Any development schemes should not be opposed ,only for the sake of keeping the tempo of opposition position- he analyzed.

DISCUSSION AND ACTION TO RESTART TOY TRAIN

Raja seat is the main attraction for tourists who flow in large numbers to Madikeri. It is the guarden center having a vast nature view. In th surrounding place Toy Train was running smoothly. Recently, the Madikeri Municial Council resolved to stop maintaining the Toy train and to hand over the supervision to the tourism department. Any how the tourism department did not turned up to the proposals so for. In the meantime, the Railway officials concerned, visited the Toy Train spot. M.L.A.a K.G..Bopaiah was also present. The railway officers Govind Kumar and Banspode keenly observed the situation. Some repairs required to run the Toy train and to restart the movement. If the forest department cooperates to provide some wooden items required,, the work could be completed immediately , said the railway officers. The discussion also resulted in convincing the City Municipal Council toRe take over the supervision instead of handing it to the tourism department. It is also resolved to complete the repair works before Sept. 20th. The service should be provided during next Dasara festival. Large number of tourists attend during Dasara seasons..
