GOVERNMENT RELEASES ANOTHER FOUR CRORE;The government has released four more crores to Kodagu towards rain relief. The total sum of fund released to Kodagu has now reached five crores. However, the district administration has sent an estimation of rupees 29 crores to government as rain damage. Deputy Commissioner Mr.Subodh Yadav told that the fund would be spent on priority. MINISTER TO HOIST FLAG;The resigned district in charge minister Mr.Srinivas will hoist tricolour on August 15th at madikeri. Mr.Alangur Srinivas had submitted his resignation to the post of district in charge Chief Minister alleging that government has not released to Kodagu for rain damage. However the Deputy Commissioner confirmed that the minister would be arriving in Kodagu tomorrow to attend the function. The minister might have changed his decision as the government has released four more crores towards rain relief, according to the party sources of janatha Dal. LAD FROM KODAGU DIES AT BELGAUM;A lad from Kodagu, working at Bangalore has died suspiciously at Belgaum. According to reports, tambukuttira Aiyappa, 22 of Surlabbi was suspected to have been killed after kidnapping. His sister sunitha had lodged a complaint with nelamangala police stating that her brother working as a security guard was missing since sixth of August. Police now recovered a dead body at Belgaum. Family suspects murder and investigation is on. The dead body would be brought to Kodagu today for cremation. |
