DWELLING IN FOREST IS THE TRADITIONAL RIGHT RESOLUTION PASSED IN ORIGINAL TRIBE INHABITANTS CONFEREFNCE

 

Dwelling in forest area is the traditional right of original tribe inhabitants, the ownership over the land used for cultivation to earn food and bread and the usage of water resources for livelihood are also the traditional right of the tribes living in the forest area since hundreds of year; the Govt. should consider and recognize these demands- These important resolutions are passed in the tribe conference at Kushalnagar. The resolution demanded the stoppage of rehabiliting the tribes by evicting them from the forest place. The Govts should establish original tribe inhabitants’.

 

Panchayath  for the implementation of the volunteer administrative system  for the benefit of tribes in Karnataka, Kerala and Thamilnadu - pleaded the leaders spoken in the Conference. The two days conference orgonised in the RMC Yard, Kushalnagar was attended by the tribe representatives from three states.  Processions, seminars and cultural shows marked the occasion. The Ex. M.L.C Prof. Siddalingaiah, Somwarpet M.L.A Mr. B.A.Jeevijaya, Mysore Zilla Panchayath Vice President Smt. Jaji Thimmaiah, The Tribe Association president J.P.Raju, Cord Association president Mr. Roy David, Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Mr. Shrikanth Valagad,Tamilnadu tribe leader Mr. Krishnan,Zilla Panchayath member Mr. Raghunath Naik, Kudiyara Muthappa and representatives of Dakshina Kannada, Mysore and Chickmagalur districtas have attended the conference.

 

 

"KAVERI SENE" GHERAOD THE FOREST DEPARTMENT

 

The orgonisers of "Kaveri Sene" have gheraod the forest office in protest against the attempt by the department to grant  the permission for lifting the precious stones in the forest area for the private orgonisations. In about 12 acres of  "Pattighat" forest area near Bhagamandala more precious stones are available. The "Kaveri Sene" alleges the involvement of forest officials in granting permission to some private organizations to lift these stones on contract basis. The organizers surrounded the Range Forest office at Bhagamandala and demanded to end the contract process.

 

Some fake records are created to grant permission to Sardar and company-the organizers  alleged. When they gone through the records they found the created documents and even  Variation  in the shown survey numbers. The interested persons shown the land surveyed  by the ADLR office surveyors which are all bogus and the agitators demanded the  thorough enquiry to bring out the truth. The agitators also disclosed the misuse  of funds in the sanctioned money of Rs. 13 lakh for the development of nurseries  in Bhagamandala range area. They complained the direct involvement of Bythan the range  forest officer in giving illegal permission for tree felling in his limits and they insisted the suspension of the officer. The Consevator of forest assured of taking  stringent action against the R.F.O. The "Kasveri Sene" office bearers Ravi Chengappa, Rozi Chinnappa, Cheeyanna, M.T.Thimmaiah, Areyada Vittal and K.J.Bharath took the  lead.

 

 

YOUTH DIED IN THE ACCIDENT

 

In a road accident at Hunsur the Youth from Kodagu Kuppudira  Nithn (21) died . He was working in KSRTC. When he was riding the bike some  Unidentified vehicle hit and ran. Although he was admitted to a hospital at Mysoe he was Succumbed  to injuries. The deceased left his parents and a sister.
