HUTHARI CELEBRATEDThe special festival in Kodagu Huthari was celebrated in a grand manner in the district. The ripened paddy crops were cut after the traditional poojas. They were carried with the Kodava language pray slogan “Poli Poli Deva, Poli Poli”. At Madikeri, Kushalnagar, Virajpet,Napoklu,, Palur temple, Mrithyunjaya temple,Bhagamandala, Cherambane,Somwarpet, Gonikoppal, Ponnampet and Shrimangala the Huthari festival was celebrated with poojas and lighting crackeries.The people welcomed the pady yield as “Dhanyalakshmi Photo: A scene of festivasl at Kusdhalnagar. 24 HOUR BHAJAN PROGRAMMEShri Ramanjaneya Bhjan Group has arranged 24 yhour Bhajan programme at Anjaneya Temple, Madikeri on 4-12-2004.The Bhajans from the host committee starts at 6 A.M. on the 4th and ends at 6 P.M.on 5th. About 18 Bhajan teams are participating with varieties of continuous Bhajans on two days..Mathaji Suvedananda Swamini of Dayananda Chatraalaya, Madikeri will address the devotees on the 5th at 6 P.M. during valedictory functuion. |
