ONE MORE GANJA HAUL BUSTED;Close on the heels of cracking crores worth Ganja racket at Makutta border, Forest sleuths have busted another haul at Teralu at Srimangala again at Virajpet taluk. Forest sleuths penetrated deep into a mountaintop and arrested two persons in connection with the haul. According to officials, they have discovered Ganja being grown in a large area. One has to tread 19 kilometers by foot to enter the Ganja area. Actual worth of the illegal crop would be known only today since officials and police are visiting the spot today. A.B.SUBAIAH AS HOCKEY COACH;A native of Kodagu, Mr.A.B.Subaiah was appointed as Indian Hockey Coach, again’ according to his family sources. Mr.Subbaiah has represented Indian Hockey team as a player and coach on many occasions. He is presently working for Indian Airlines. RS.226 CRORE FOR NATIONAL HIGHWAY;MLA Mr.K.G.Bopaiah told this correspondent that the Central Road Development Authority has released rupees 226 crores for the development of Mysore _ Buntwal road. He said that the matter was confirmed after he met the Road authorities at Bangalore yesterday. Meanwhile he disclosed that rupees si crore was sanctioned for Makutta road and a bridge at Nelli Hudikeri. NABARD has also sanctioned rupees eighty laks for the repair work of roads in Kodagu, he said. |
