COUPLE MEET WITH WATERY GRAVE;

A couple met with a watery grave at Hudikeri in South Kodagu yesterday. According to reports, an estate labourer Maadi slipped into a LAKE BY ACCIDENT AND STARTED SHOUTING FOR HELP. Her husband Maada, who was working closeby jumped into the lake to save his wife. As he did not knew swimming, Maada drowned along with his wife. Police registered a case.

KILLED IN ACIDENT;

In a bizarre accident reported at Gowdalli at Somwarpet Taluk yesterday, a youth died on the spot.

According to police, a private bus ran over the motorcycle being used by the deceased Somshekar.

Onlookers stated that the bus was dragging the bike as it entwined at the bottom of the bus. Shanivarsanthe police have registered a case and arrested the bus driver.
