WE LIVE WITH THE DREAM TO RETURN;

Even though we are living happily and peacefully in India, we still cherish the dream to return to our Mother land, Tibet, said the walking God of Tibetans, the fourteenth Dalai Lama.

Taking part in the function organized to mark the fifteenth year after he received Nobel Peace prize at Bylakuppe rehabilitation centre yesterday, His Holiness thanked India, which gave him place to reside in the year 1959. Stating that Non Violence is their ultimate motive, he called upon the Monks to abide by this principle.

Chief guest in the function, State industries minister Mr.P.G.R.Sindia said that Tibetans have mingled well with the culture of Karnataka. Indo Tibet friendship society president Mr.P.K.Devaiah, Hunsur MLA Mr.Venktesh spoke on the occasion.Mysore ZP president Mr.Balram,Tibet representative Mr.Nodup Dorjee and others were present.

PROTEST BEFORE THE CMs HOUSE;

MLA Mr.K.G.Bopaiah told here that a protest would be held before the CMs house in Bangalore in the first week of January along with MLA Mr.H.D.Basavaraju.

Addressing scribes after laying foundation stone for the rejuvenation of Paloor Harischandra temple, Mr.Bopaiah said that the protest is planned to demand the special package of rupees 107 crores, sanctioned by the erstwhile government.

Meanwhile, he also disclosed that around 79 MLAs” and 10 MPs would stage continuous protest before the CMs house from this fourteenth to protest the faileures of the government in many fronts.

CNC HOLDSWINTER SESSIONS;

The self declared Parliament of the Codava National Council yesterday held its winter session at Capital village.

The General secretary of the CNC Mr.N.U.Nachappa told that the parliament has decided to take census of Kodavas.

The members discussed various problems facing Kodavas.
