MOLESTATION ATTEMPT

A married person who tried to molest a school girl was nabbed by the villagers .The Madikeri Rural police have arrested the accused Narayana in Galibeedu village near here. A highschool Girl was walking towards her house during evening after the school hours.Narayan attacked her and dragged her to his house and tried to molest her. Observing this, the sister of the girl going with her immediately rushed to her parents and informed them.The parents with the help of the boys who were playing nearby rushed to Narayan’s house. Sensing the danger Narayan attempted to escape from the rear door and was surrounded by the youths, who have then handed him over to the police.

COFFEE PICKED IN THE MIDST OF COMPLICATIONS

The legal complication between the Kannada Mutt belong to Veerashaiva Shri Channabasava Deshikendra Swamiji and the Kodava Chowrira family took a dramatic turn yesterday in Ammathi,Dakshina Kodagu. The legal battle is still continued bretween them claiming the ownership for 193 acres of cultivated land.No body could have done the work in the estate due to status co orders. However,the State high court had recently stayed the order passed by the Virajpret Thaluk Thahasildar stating the land belong to the Kannada Mutt of Swamiji. On the basis of the stay order, the Chowrira lfamily members started picking up the coffee yield in the estate. The Police and the revenue officers were just watching the act and were catious to avoid any physical clash between the two groups. Even, the Swamiji was also one of the witness observing the act done by the Chowrira family and their supporters.No untoward development reported.

SUMA CRITICISES

Suma Vasanth ex. Minister criticised the statement given by some congress leaders in Virajpet thaluk who have invited the staunch congress workers meeting at Gonikoppal. She called those orgonisers as BJP people and analysed them saying they are really does not belong to congress Party as they are going against the high commamd restrictions- she added.

In a press conference here, she allegeed the involvement of H.D.Basavaraju, the thaluk M.L.A in the misappropriation incidents at Thaluk Panchayath Virajpret.

Suma Vasanth showed her disssatisfaction while reacting to the statement made by the Kodagu District incharge minister Mr.Thanveer Sait disclodsing the cacellation of Special Package scheme for Kodagu which was earlier announced by the previous Govt.The package scheme had got a total amoun t of Rs. 107 crores she said.

While speaking in the Press Conference, the Gonikoppal Chamber of Commerce President Mr. M.K.Nanajappa called the Gonikoppal RMC office as the BJP office as it is almost misued by the party leaders for their works.. He came out saying the misuse of RMC vehicles by the MLA Basavaraj,He explained the deviation and misutilisation of funds in the RMC. The press conference was also attended by RMC ex. President Mr. Jani Aiyanna, Ashok and Kokkanda Mani Kaverappa.
