NCC SENDING MESSAGE OF NATIONAL INTEGRITY;

The National Cadet Corps is sending the message of National integrity, said Col.K.R.Mohan.

Addressing scribes at the National NCC camp being held at Kushalnagar yesterday, he said that more than five hundred cadets from all over the country are taking part in the twelve day National camp in the premises of Polytechnic. The camp that started on this first will end on this twelfth.

Col. Mohan said that cadets from Jammu-Kashmir, Panjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Orissa, west Bengal, Maharashtra and other states are exchanging their views on culture and integrity.

AIYAPPA HOLDS JDS REIGN;

After much heat and dust, Mr.V.P.Aiyappa has been named the president of the Janatha Dal S.

Mr.Aiyappa succeeds Mr.J.A.Karumbaiah who resigned to the post.

Meanwhile, Mr.K.B.Shanthappa was elected as the state general secretary.

Mr.Shanthappa and Mr.V.P.Aiyappa were waging war against Mr.A.K.Subbaiah who lost the post of state Vice President in the recent re shuffling. Mr.Subbaiah was trying not to project Aiyappa and Shanthappa.

PERSON BUTCHERED;

One Aithappa at Mekeri villge, who suspected the latters relationship with his wife, yesterday butchered a taxi driver Nagendra.

Aithappa, who noticed Nagendra inside his house with his wife yesterday, attacked his wife with a billhook at first. Later he chased Nagendra on the main street and butchered him. Thinking that Nagendra is dead, he went and surrendered at taluk police station. While his wife’s one finger is chopped off, Nagendra is fighting for life in the hospital with deep cuts on throat and other parts of the body. Police are investigating.
