He was one of the first originals to get involved in the rockabilly revival of the '70's and has continued to play and promote the music ever since. Although not a prolific artist in the '50s, he was able to get the odd record deal, albeit on minor labels (Dot records being the largest). His debut Play It Cool and Caterpillar came out on TNT in 1957 followed later the same year by It Ain't Me for Dot. A year later Domino put out My Screamin' Screamin' Mimi. In March '59 D Records issued his tribute single The Man I Met (Big Bopper) and Ballad of Donna And Peggy Sue. The '60s and '70s were spent teaching in a school in Los Angeles before he hooked up with Ronnie Weiser of Rollin' Rock records. Since then he was been a constant visitor to Europe and has recorded a steady stream of live and studio albums. Go check him out when he's over next, he's a great live act and a true keeper of the flame.
