THE ARTISTICS - by Al Kelly

No, The Artistics group which recorded "Life Begins At Sixteen" on S&G 
wasn't the famous group from Brunswick/Okeh, who had several big hits but 
an unknown group that nobody seems to know who they are. I tried searching 
thru the S&G  label and came up with a blank. Pretty good record and 
enjoyed the backup sounds of the bass, he's like in another world or 
record sometimes. Don't think this is the same S&G that that Jones Boys 
recorded on in the early 50's (No, not Jimmy Jones's group).
