THE VIDELS - by Al Kelly

The Videls, Vi-Dels and Videls' were from Providence, RI and featured two
outstanding talented singers, writers, arrangers and producers, Peter
(Andreoli) Anders and Vincent "Vinnie" Poncia and another singer. They
made their first record on the Rhody label in '59 and their second
release on Rhody was leased to JDS and was "Mr Lonely" which became a
big hit for the group, they had one more for the small-time JDS before
signing with Kapp Records in '61 They never found success as the Videls
again but  later found a hit as the Tradewinds. They also recorded as
the Treasures and Anders and Poncia and wrote and produced hundreds of
records till the 70's.
