TOMMY BURK & THE COUNTS - by Al Kelly Tommy Burk and the Counts really got around having 10 releases from '62-'66. He sounds like he had some talent because this record had a good sound. I don't think he ever had a national hit. The Nat label was out of Chicago and owned by Carl Davis who brought the Dukays to national attention on his Nat label. It's sort of odd for a R&B label to release this type of sound but Davis must have thought that "You'll Feel It Too" had a chance. The group had another release on Nat called "Stormy Weather" which was leased to Chicago based Smash label in '63. They recorded for the Southern Artists, Atco, Hip and Rich-Rose labels.
