Capital of a column of Persepolis, Iran, c.500 B.C

111.

I want to deliver a poem

that lives longer than my heartbeat.

I want to be the unknown poet

of a known poetry.

112.

People are equal

but some are more equal than others.

Desires have stronger wings

than human rights

and even the angel of justice

can be bought.

Mouths say beautiful words

to justify ugly deeds.

113.

For a world of frozen souls

in the darkness of despair

love is the flame.

114.

I hear the footsteps

of my longest sleep.

I feel maggots

on my flesh.

I see my bones decay

and my elements scatter

but I know

I shall return.

115.

You are raised in illusion

to catch dreams

that fly high like balloons

but are empty inside.
