Injustice by: Mahmoud Farshchian

76.

I met the ugly angel.

Her eyes were full of tears.

Don't you remember me?

She said.

I was the one who made you

water clearer than mirror

out of my tears

and you gave back sewage.

I gave you my fresh breath

and you gave back smog.

To protect you from the burning sun

I made you a shelter

out of my wings that you burned.

I healed your wounds.

You stabbed my face.

I sent you my children to help

and you slaughtered them.

I sacrificed you my beauty my youth

you want to take my life.

77.

From silkworm to butterfly

from life to death

to a higher life.

78.

I asked for an angel

God gave me torture.

I asked for fame

God gave me loneliness.

I asked for fortune

God gave me pain.

But torture, loneliness and pain

led me to salvation and joy.

79.

The time to love

when careless hands

spread the seeds of hate.

The time for unity

when walls have separated our hearts.

The time for peace

when the shortsighted minds

want us to die.

The time for hope

is now.

80.

Soil and fern and tiger

I was

for a thousand years.

Now condemned to act

on the stage

of a long play

until when life

comes out of my head

to take part

in a new play.
