LAHORE, Pakistan, March 6 (AFP) - Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram took a hat-trick to give his team the upper hand at tea on the third day of their Asian Test Championship tussle with Sri Lanka here on Saturday.
At tea Pakistan were 58-0 in their second innings - an overall lead of 128 runs.
Sri Lanka were dismissed for 328 in their first innings but their four batting points raised their tally to 11 and meant they qualified for the final of the Asian Test Championship.
Opener Russel Arnold hit a fine 123 while Romesh Kaluwitharana notched up 100.
Akram achieved his stunning hat-trick when he mopped up the tail with figures of 4-30. |
