The Story
The Taelons came just after the turn of the century, energy based aliens who offered benefits to the people of Earth, in exchange for our friendship. Medical advancements, transportation, and access to their scientific knowledge. However, there were some sinister undertones to their offers, as well as a common feeling among the Taelons that they were more evolved, and hence better than humans. A human Liberation movement was founded to undermine and combat the shadowy agenda of the Taelons.
Three years after the Taelon arrival, police commander William Boone became involved with both the Taelons and the Liberation, as a hidden double-agent with an alien implant enhancing his brain, and a bioengineered weapon attached to his arm. He befriended pilot Lili Marquette and the alien Da'an, and was respected and valued for his skills.
Upon Boone's arrival, several sinister discoveries were made about the Taelons and their presence — including an alien probe that proved lethal on many levels, and was definitely not a product of the Taelon biotechnology.
Boone was evidently killed after a year of service, shortly after combating an alien called Ha'gel. Ha'gel's son, Liam, was born at about the same time. After growing at an accelerated rate, he became a valued (and sometimes feared) member of the Resistance, as well as Da'an's new protector and protege. It was also discovered that the Taelons did indeed have enemies: the Jaridians, their severed brethren from whom they have been separated for millennia.
Upon a coup against the Resistance, Lili Marquette attempted sabotage of the mothership, and ended up being shipped to Jaridia by Agent Sandoval. Liam Kincaid and Augur were assisted by a corporate Resistance ally, Renee Palmer.
The plight of the Taelons soon became clear when Liam discovered that their life-force was dwindling to nearly nothing, plunging them into a death state from which they might never wake. After communicating with his dead father Ha'gel, Liam woke the Taelons from their stasis and convinced them to shape their own destiny....
Here the storyline of the true Earth: Final Conflict ceases, until such time as it is picked up and revived...
