| Brad Wright on Welfare Hello all you people out there. I'm sorry that it has been a while since I wrote about how much the world sucks and how much better it would be if they let me, or someone like me, run the thing. I really haven't had the time to sit and express my hatred for all things stupid, but I have just missed my 6th class here at Pembroke, that's right 6 classes. I suppose that it isn't in vain though, College is for idiots and the only reason colleges were invented was to get people's money, you know how dumb people are with their money. I could get just as good of an education by sitting at home and watching Reading Rainbow, kick ass show by the way. The reason I missed my class and the reason I missed my other classes was because of one very stupid thing. Not enough damn parking spaces. I get to school 20 minutes early and spend those twenty minutes driving around campus in my sweet ride, my 88' Buick with a mis-match paint job. By an act of God, I find a space, but wait a minute.....it's 20 freaking miles away from my class. I could of walked to school and got the same effect. So I get to my class and my little wise ass teacher, who got a degree in something that no one in their right mind would ever use, locks the door so I, and people like myself, can't get into the class room. Thank you Professor Geller......you taint lick. You know what I hate.....working with the public. That's right working with good old John and Jane Q. Consumer, listening to their measly little problems and scanning their stupid little groceries. For those of you who don't know, I work at a Food Lion in Fayetteville and I have been for quite some time now. I'm up for a manager's position in the next few months actually. And when I say managers position, I mean on top of my boss' lap because that's what he basically does. SCREW ME!!! Screw me out of my hard earned money just so he can take his week long vacations and carry his Bloody Mary drinking, hung over, wife out on his boat. Anyway, as of right now, I'm a cashier and I still have to put up with customers who still believe that anything they do is right. Up yours Mr. Consumer. Ok, this is the real reason I wanted to write this. I may step on a few toes here, but frankly I don't give a damn. Never have, never will! I'm going to talk about the wonderful invention brought to us by Lyndon Banes Johnson back in the 60's when he wanted to have his little "War on Poverty." LBJ thought it would be great if we have something called FOOD STAMPS!!! Oh yes welfare at it's finest. I don't want to get off on a rant here, but let me educate you people who don't know what a food stamp is. Food Stamps or EBT, what it is called today because it uses electronic Banking cards instead of tiny sheets of paper (stamps), is basically free money, to those who apply for it, for the purchase of food at a grocery store. They had to do away with the old "Stamp" method because so many people were trading their stamps for crack (no lie). People use food stamps to by food for themselves and their family. Right now you may be saying, "But Brad, why is that bad? They just want to feed their family and if they can't afford food, how are they going to do that?" Well that is the thing, 95% of the people who use food stamps, don't need them. Those 5% percent who do, I have no problem with you. I understand that you are needy and that's ok with me. But to you 95%......fuck you!!! You can't possibly understand the magnitude of the problem with food stamps and the hatred I have for these people unless you work in a grocery store. I am tired of ringing up groceries for people who are wearing $400 leather jackets and are driving a brand new Lexus and then pay with their groceries with Food Stamps. This actually happened a few months ago, I was working at a register and a woman wanted to buy dog food with food stamps, which you cannot do. I told her this repeatedly and she could not get it through her thick head. Then after about 15 minutes of making a scene, she goes to the back of the store picks up a $12 piece of steak, comes back up to my register and says, "Well my dog likes steak better anyway." I had to ring it up for her then, and yes she got it for free. Taxpayers had to pay for that steak that some mangy dog got to eat and even I, 18 years old and with a very small paycheck, had to pay for it with the taxes they take out every pay period. How many of you out there in Internet Land has ever eaten a $12 steak. I sure as hell haven't. Another such crime, and that is what they are (crimes), was when a woman paid for her groceries with food stamps and then paid for her paper plates with a check. She is too poor to pay for food with real money, but she has a checking account.....makes you wonder. The reason I say that this is a crime is because I am firm believer (call me crazy) that theft is a crime. These people are robbing me of my hard earned money and robbing the hard working tax payers of this state and this country that I love so much. Is it not a crime to steal money from an individual and then use it to your own benefit? The only difference in this kind of thievery is that the Food Stamp using nation is stealing money through the system of government (social services) and pocketing it. They are doing this instead of just going right ahead and reaching into my back pocket, removing my wallet, and taking my money. What is the difference here people??? By them going through social services, they are just creating a middle man to do all the dirty work for them. Social Services is taking my money from my wallet and giving it to the low lives that walk in to that building.....usually wearing $800 pants and and $1000 jacket. That's all I will speak on today, but oh believe me......I have a lot more to say. I would just like you people to wake up and see that this world is very corrupt and there are so many wrongs going unjustified. This is only one example. Unfortunately we alone cannot change the system and it will continue to rob the hard working American Joe. It will continue taking the money out of the real hard workers in America, i.e. the mother of 3 who has to work 2 jobs just to keep food on the table, and give it to the lazy sons of bitches who think, "Why do I have to goto work and make $1200 a month when I can sit at home on my fat ass watching Rickie Lake and make $900 a month?" They continue to think, "I just think I'll continue reaming Uncle Sam in the ass, take his money, and leave his beaten naked body in a dark alley somewhere." Life has always been like this! I'm pretty sure that even back in the day of the cave man there was one idiot who didn't want to go hunting and would just stay in his cold dank cave and eat confections, whatever that might of been back in that time. But I believe back then, however, if you didn't hunt I think the other clans people could kill you and eat you! Why can't we do that today? It would diminish our hunger problem in America.
