This paper examines the changes and impacts of mergers on information system element within the banking institution.The study has been undertaken in Bank Bumiputera Commerce Berhad, one of the anchor banks in Malaysia. The study found that the merger has impacted information syatems (IS) applications in such a way that merger has positively impacting IS elements and contributing to the administrative tasks in the bank. The merger also arising negative implication and problems, but the positive is mora abivous and significant.
