Imli Chutney

250 gms imli(tamarind)
2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp chilly pwd
Salt according to your taste
Soak the imli in water so that it softens.Rub well to remove he seeds.Strain out all the juice into a container.Put on low heat and bring to a boil.Add sugar,salt,chilly pwd and keep stirring and cooking on low heat till it starts to become thick.A small piece of ginger can be added and later removed for extra flavour.When desired consistency acheived remove from heat and allow it to cool before storing.(store it in a jar with a lid)
