Brenna Nikita was born into piracy.  Her father was Captain John Braniff, the original captain of the Song of the Siren.  Her mother died giving birth, and her father decided he would raise her rather than pawning off on her mother's relatives.

Brenna was originally called Amala Korrin Braniff, but when her father's lieutenant became mutinous and murdered Captain Braniff, that changed.  As she ran her father's murderer through with her father's cutlass, Amala Korrin died and Brenna Nikita (the unconquered raven) was born.  She refused to allow anyone to get the better of her, and thus far she ahs been successful.  She has gone up against many a ruthless pirate and has always come out on top.

Brenna's mother was an Egyptian woman that Braniff had fallen in love with during his stay in Egypt.  Brenna's looks come from her mother.  The only mark that the Irish Braniff left on his daughter was her fighting spirit and her skill with guns and steel.  Brenna is unusually tall for a woman.  She has straight, pitch black hair that is usually pulled back into an elaborate braid.  Her eyes are obsidian and they don't miss a single detail.

Brenna Nikita trusts no man, but Camden is beginning to grow on her.  He is so daft that she is mostly sure that he can't do much harm, and if he tries, she is sure that she can take him.  As for her mistrust of the male sex...Let's just say she engaged to Braniff's lieutenant.  He had only used her to get closer to the all-too-trusting Braniff.  The only relationships she has with men are to scratch that annoying little itch everyone gets now and then.  And even then, they don't come out alive.  She seduces them, robs them blind and murders them in their sleep.  She spares none.
