For our first official date, we went to see a movie and then went to Olive Garden for dinner afterwards. Yeah, it's pretty "cliche," but hey at the time, I wasn't totally sure she was diggin me. This wasn't the first time we had played this particular scenario out. But I guess it was official to me because I actually asked her out on a date and it wasn't a night where we were just looking to go do something to get out the house.
My first impression of her was that she's a really kool chick to hang out with. Real fun to sit around and laugh with. But I also noticed that she was realy particular about everything, right down to her food. After the "offical date" was over, I was interested in her, but knowing what type of dude she typically dated (tall, 6' something and up; Strike one, two, and three against me, all at the same time), in the back of my mind, I figured that she wasn't diggin' me, but me being me, that just made me want to break her down... MISSION COMPLETE!

In my mind, our first date was the first time we went out together (just the two of us), but for some unusual reason, several nights afterwards, Demea caled me on teh phone to ask me to go on a "date" with him. I guess he saw the first few outings as outings amongst friends, and he needed to let me know he was interested, so he asked me for a more formal date. We went to watch a movie and afterwards shared comical conversation at Olive Garden.
My first impression of Demea was that he would be a great friend. We shared common career adn family goals, a drive to better the youth of our society, as well as similarited within our families and college backgrounds. I still wasn't interested in a relationship with him, but I sincerely enjoyed his company. During this time frame, I thougth it was refreshing to have a friend of the opposite sex to go to movies and dinner with, someone I could hang out with and have a good time.
