Jennifer was then nudged back into the limelight when she co-starred with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson in 95 in the film "Money Train". She continued with smaller roles in pictures including "My Family/Mi Familia" and "Jack and Blood and Wine". But what put the role that propelled Jennifers name out into the homes of many, was the role she landed the as the lead in "Selena" in 1997.
By 1998, Jennifer had become the highest-paid Latina actress in Hollywood history. She followed up her movie hits by returning to the music studio and came out with her debut pop album On the 6. The hit single "If You Had My Love" was number one on the charts.
Her second album, J.Lo, the single "Love Dont Cost A Thing" seems to have become the album's dancy, independent-woman track. J.Lo, is conveniently scheduled to drop the same week the double-threat star hits movie screens opposite Matthew McConaughey in the romantic comedy "The Wedding Planner." Off-and-on again boyfriend Sean "Puffy" Combs produced three of the songs on J.Lo.
In addition to planning a concert tour this year, Jennifer will play a cop seeking human connection in "Angel Eyes" and will tackle the lead in a life history of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Jennifer is flying high and living her dreams and making plans for her first all-Spanish album.
