Fear Park is another Fear Street Miniseries. It's pretty good, although not my personal favourite. It features Dierdre Bradley, whose Grandfather's goal was to build an amusement park in a section of the Fear Street Woods, but it never happened. Dierdre's father decides to take up his father's ambition and builds the park, but unfortunately that leads to innocent people dying, because the son of the man who refused Dierdre's grandfather the rights to build on his land was a Fear, and he used magic to keep himself a teenager for eternity, and he makes it his goal to stop the park from opening. And after Dierdre's bofriend is killed in the park, this boy - Robin Fear - moves in on her and tries to use her to get the park shut down. There are some good ways people die in these three, including one where a guy is shoved into a lion pen. Dierdre's Grandfather decided not to build the park because one day, he hired lots of teenagers to cut out the tree stumps in the area the park was to be built on. They were to be paid a dollar a day, quite good for the 1920's, and while this was happening, a strange fog decended on them, and basically it caused them to butcher each other. burying hatchets in each other's backs and so on. It turns out Robin Fear cast a spell to make them do this. Very gruesome. Very cool. And Dierdre's father decides to re-enact this scene every night in his park. Robin Fear meets his end here, when he is watching the show with Dierdre, the actors are actually the teenagers who killed each other in the 1920's, and they kill Robin.
Pretty Good. Read Them If You Can. Better Still, It's A Lot Cheaper To Buy The Collectors Edition If You Can Find It. |
