Location:
The boats are docked at the Captain's cottage in Shady Side, Maryland, on the corner of the West River, Parrish Creek & the Chesapeake Bay. Its an easy 45-minute drive from Washington,D.C.
Directions to Shady Side Charters:
From Virginia on I-495 North -
Cross Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Maryland and
continue on I-495 for approx.
12 miles. Take the Rt. 4 East Exit.
Continue on Rt. 4 East onto Rt.
258. (Note: You will cross over Rt. 2) Stay on Rt. 258 East for approximately
7 miles. Rt. 258 dead ends at Rt. 256. Turn left onto Rt. 256 North.
Follow Rt. 256 North for approx.
2 miles until it dead ends at Rt. 468 East. (Note: There will be a traffic
light and a Sunoco gas station at this intersection)
Turn right onto Rt. 468 (aka Shady
Side Road) follow for approximately 3 miles. You will pass a Post Office
on your left, Renno's Market and a Citco gas station on your right. Continue
past the Firehouse and through the "No Outlet" sign. Turn right onto E.W.
Shady Side Road which bends to the left and then to the right. (Do not
turn into Parrish Creek Marina). Follow E.W. Shady Side Road to the end
of the county asphalt road onto a gravel driveway. Our home is the small
white house between a large yellow house with a green roof and a gray house.
