Imani is half Wraith and half Malach. She doesn't know about her lineage because her father was forced to leave when she was young but she is painfully aware of the fact that she is different. The Malach in her constantly fights the characteristic fungus that covers most of the Wraiths leaving her looking somewhere between a  regular Wraith and one of the "untouched". Imani's mother died proud of little Imani when she was thirteen but Imani kept struggling for the rights of everyone.
